TRADEFREEDOM - QuoteTracker related help

NOTE:
You must have QuoteTracker version 3.6.3A or higher to be able to use TradeFreedom Access streaming quotes with QuoteTracker.
If you have an older version of QuoteTracker, download the needed version from our Download page

SETUP INSTRUCTIONS
|
You can now use QuoteTracker with TradeFreedom Access Level I quotes, as well as full integrated trading. Please follow the instructions below:

For QUOTES, just download the latest version of QuoteTracker and install it. That is all you need. |
|
Start QuoteTracker and select "TradeFreedom Access" as the quote source from the SITE dropdown list on top/right
of the main QuoteTracker window. If needed, click START button to initiate the streaming quotes. |

For Indices, right click on the index panel and select Edit Indices, or select OPTIONS/Data sources menu and click on the INDICES tab.
Select "TradeFreedom Access" as the quote source from the SITE dropdown list on top/right of that screen.
If the index panel is not visible on the main QuoteTracker window, click on the INDICES tab on top left, just below the main menu. |

For Trading, go to OPTIONS/Data sources menu in QuoteTracker, then click on TRADING tab |
|
Select "TradeFreedom Access" as the broker, then click on the ADD button to the left of ACCOUNT NICKNAMES field.
Type in the nickname that you want to use for the account, click OK, then fill in the account number, user name and password.
You will be prompted with a trading agreement. Once you agree to it, go on to the next step.
NOTE: The account number is optional if you only have one account linked to the login.
if you have multiple accounts accessible with the entered login, then you must enter the account number |

Open the TRADE and TRANSACTION panels by clicking on the corresponding tabs at the top of the QuoteTracker main screen, right below the menu.
 |
Select "TradeFreedom Access" as the broker you want to use for trading if it is not already selected. You are now ready to trade
|
SYMBOL FORMATS
|
|
For US stocks, just enter the symbol without any special prefix or suffix.
For Canadian stocks, add .TO or .VN suffix to the end of the symbol. For example: NT.TO
For US Options, use .O suffix to the end of the symbol. For example: QAVJV.O
For BM/ME (Montreal) Options, use .MX suffix to the end of the symbol. For example: BBDDA.MX
For Futures, enter the symbol in /SYMBOL format. For example, /ESZ5 and /NQZ5
